Riverview Apartments

Parking, Walkway, + Landscape Improvements (Springfield Housing Authority ) / Springfield, MA

Full site improvements were completed on the Tower’s side of this large property. The Riverview Apartments development contains 344 housing units on a site that is just under 17 acres abutting the Connecticut River and a large City of Springfield public park.

Our project designed and built new ADA compliant parking and walkways to service the five (5) eight (8) story mid-rise buildings. In all, 388 parking spaces were designed and built across nearly 5,000 linear feet of new sidewalks. New parking was created at the District C Office Building taking advantage of an under-utilized open lawn area.

Drainage improvements were made in each of the five parking lots and all walkways were given a new positive cross slope for added safety, especially in the winter. New landscape plantings were added and attractive steel bollards further enhanced the pedestrian safety and access capabilities of this well managed property. We also performed land surveying, civil/site design engineering, landscape architecture design, and construction phase service assistance to Springfield Housing Authority personnel.
